Asian Bodega
A vibrant La Veleta restaurant where the flavors of Thailand and Southeast Asia, shareable dishes, and a lively bar meet the tropical spirit of Tulum.
Asian Bodega was born to travel without leaving the table. At La Veleta, its cuisine travels through Thailand and different corners of Southeast Asia through intense flavors, spices, acidity, heat, and that balance of contrasts that makes each dish naturally invite you to try the next.
Dumplings, curries, fried chicken, vegetables, and different preparations designed to be shared build a menu that avoids getting trapped in a single boundary. The open kitchen allows you to observe part of the movement behind each dish, while the bar accompanies the experience with drinks designed for a dinner that can easily be extended.
The space has the energy of a bodega reinterpreted under the tropics: informal yet cared for, social and especially suited for arriving in a group. In a city deeply connected with Mexican cuisine, Asian Bodega offers an unexpected pause and demonstrates how far the culinary scene in Tulum has also become a meeting point between distant cultures.
The old bodegas stored products arriving from other places before continuing their journey. This one guards flavors. Some come from thousands of kilometers away and others are born around Tulum, but for a few hours they all end up sharing the same destination: the center of the table.
