Prayer Speakeasy

Prayer represents a different side of Playa's night. Hidden within the Mezontle environment, it shrinks the nightclub scale to build a more intimate experience around electronic music. House, tech house and different branches of electronic music dominate a program where the DJ and the evolution of the set are more important than commercial hits. The enclosed, dark and climate-controlled space reinforces that sense of isolation from the outside movement. Its sound system is also one of the features that most frequently appear when the experience is described. Prayer works especially well for those who want to end the night inside a small, intense dance floor focused on the music, proving that Playa can also offer something more interesting than reggaeton, bottles with flares and people filming everything vertically.
