Mezzanine
A restaurant facing the sea where Thai cuisine, fresh flavors, and Caribbean views create one of the most unexpected encounters on the coast of Tulum.
There are trips that require a plane and others that simply begin by changing tables. At Mezzanine, Thailand appears in front of the Mexican Caribbean among aromas of herbs, spices, citrus, and dishes designed to transport the imagination to the other side of the world for a few hours.
The cuisine is inspired by traditional Thai flavors, playing with the balance between spicy, sweet, sour, and salty that characterizes much of its gastronomy. Curries, noodles, and different preparations filled with herbs and spices build an unusual offering on the coast, accompanied by drinks that naturally fit the tropical climate.
But here the landscape also takes a place at the table. Facing the Caribbean waters and surrounded by the vegetation of Tulum, Mezzanine allows you to move from a bright lunch to a more intimate dinner without ever losing sight of the sea. It is one of those places where cooking and location seem to come from different countries and, strangely, end up understanding each other perfectly.
Thailand and Tulum are separated by oceans, cultures, and thousands of kilometers. Yet both know the language of the tropics: heat, vegetation, spices, and a life that inevitably ends up drawing near to the sea. Mezzanine found the exact point where those two coasts can sit together.
